Meet the Founder

My name is Dr. Kennedy Ndamba, founder of Keka Rehab Services, and our journey beginsfar from hospitals, clinics, and therapy gyms. It begins at home—specifically, a small home inrural Uganda where I was raised by my great-grandmother, Jajja Meeme.

Jajja was over a hundred years old when I lived with her. Age had taken her ability to walk, and with no walkers, hospital beds, or rehabilitation equipment available in our village, I became her legs. I fetched water, brought her meals, and helped her move across the cool, packed earth floor. What I didn’t realize then was that these small acts of love and service were planting the seeds for my life’s purpose.

But Jajja was more than just an elder in need of care—she was the village healer. Known farand wide for her knowledge of herbs, poultices, and natural remedies, people came from distant villages for her wisdom, laughter, and comfort. To others, she was the medicine woman. To me, she was love itself—the first healer I ever encountered.

Those early experiences shaped not only my childhood but also my calling. They lit the fire that would eventually inspire Keka Rehab Services—an organization dedicated to serving seniors, families, and home care providers with compassion, expertise, and the same spirit of care I first learned at Jajja’s side.
